Rebecca Michelle Chamberlain holds a B.A. in Art History from Mansfield University. She works in graphite, polychromos colored pencils, water color, ink and oil. Her original works can be found in private collections throughout the United States.
With a deep appreciation for Renaissance and Pre-Raphaelite art, her work is inspired by artists of these movements along with the Golden Age of Illustration,Symbolism, Surrealism, Tonalism. Botanical Illustration and Contemporary Realism. Rebecca has worked as a private art instructor since 1995, teaching workshops and classes in private studios, museums, libraries, and educational cooperatives.
In 2010 five of her illustrations were published in the book, Bluegrass Drawing Society, and in 2014 she illustrated the children’s book, Jayden the Gentle, Tall and Gangly Giraffe, written by Lisa Farr Sharon. Rebecca wrote and illustrated the book, Maralee and the Turtles of the Sea. It was published in June, 2018.
